A true story (I think)

My younger brother had a very brief career as a shoe salesman. When asked, the single event that drove him to an abrupt change of occupation was the day the fat woman asked for shoes way too small for her fat feet. As my hapless brother struggled to force her foot into one of the shoes, she looked down at his bald head, thought it was her knee, and threw her dress over it.
