Just a bunch of misc. poems I wrote one drunk evening. I hope none of these offend anybody, just wanted to share. Thanks :)

PSALMS
We don't have psalms
not like the old timers had them
Things to whisper in the cold night
A God.

We have Ipods in the cold night
songs to humm
Our prayers are sung
by Coldplay and others
That Apple backs
and MTV casts its golden light upon
For almost a hundred years
God hasn't written
A hit song

We have
Unchained necks
Our crosses are our laptops
sanctity at Starbucks
and the old folks frown
On their way to Church
In big boat Lincolns
and thorny crowns
Jesus died for our sins?
No.
he died for designer Ipod skins.

Us kids
Don't have God
Or God's psalms
We have 60 gig Ipods
with that Bloc Party song

And I'm cool with it.

I am a pig
I was vulagar I was out of line I came in your mouth and I promised I wouldn't

The Cave-in
The cave caved in
hold your breath
or suck in nitrogen
it's your choice
he who chooses death
Doesn't Makes a valid point
Well I lit the lantern
but there wasn't much to see
Enclosed like the unborn
should we keep digging?
We have the tools
We the have machines
But which way is out leading?

nintendo
We played Nintendo
All night
My thumbs were never the same

Those made me laugh. I've never written poetry drunk, I do wonder what mine would be like.

Thanks :) Yea, that was kind of the point.. nothing enlightening or earth shattering, just me scribbling some rogue thoughts before they poof out of my head. But yea, thanks for reading!
