There was an explosion from making Hash, how is this? I dont feel like dieing any time soon.

He was probably using a butane seperation method without ventilation. I don't see how the explosion could be that big though, unless he had a few hundred cans of butane.
Might just be a scare article, with no photos or videos of people being interviewed I don't accept it as fact.

Yeah I think it might've been a butane extraction. To make $300 to $400 worth of hash oil with butane would mean that there's a fuckload of butane flying around in the air.

I can tell you that all these explosions goin on in this rather rural area, are created by naphta. It's like the first cause of death in one town, granby.

Their oil sucks , it's black and sticky and in a tricky vial that makes you beleive there's more in it than the what's really in.

Still the amount of butane needed to blow apart a room is quite a bit, that guy was an idiot.

Extractor? all you do is fill a piece of PVC tubing with shredded weed, cap both ends, poke 3 holes in 1 side, poke 1 hole big enough for the butane then empty the whole can into the thing.
So all you need to do is get a tube, or do as I did with isopropyl alcohol. All that requires is 90-100% pure isopropyl alcohol and you soak crushed weed in a jar with it, then evaporate it outside. Mush simpler method.

and for your method, doesnt soaking that long produce sticky oil that bonds to everything? BTW, 70% works better, 50% even more though with some loss of yield. Im goin crazy on oil made it all f'in day.

Haha ya the isopropyl makes a really sticky oil, but thats if you leave it too long, apparently 3 mins of vigourous shaking is enough.
I'm great at making things, some sort of primal instinct, I hate wiring things together though, damn electricity.

For average, dried trim...I shake 45 seconds. Try it , when you evaporate very well and scrape it gives golden flakes that have lots of volume but as soon as you agglomerate it becomes black, and Not sticky :)

This method is awesome. Today I used like one oz and a half of trim I already used for dry sifting, so only the small and almost unknockables trichomes were left. Poured like 300 ml of iso, not all the trim was wet . Shook like crazy 25 secs, 1.5 grams of golden goodness resulted!

I've had butane go off on me before (under ventilated conditions) didn't do much. Scared the shit out of me though.

1 second I was making oil
the next second I was in a ball of flame
second after that flame was gone and I was still trying to figure out: "What just happened here"
