http://vermillionanimalaid.blogspot.com/ we are in great need of volunteers to help the farming families in the areas destroyed by hurricane rita. vermilion parish in south louisiana was lucky enough to miss alot of the catastrophe of rita but now we're facing another crisis. farmers here are in need of manpower to help feed animals, handle supplies, build fences and barns, etc, etc, etc.
there is a wish list posted at the above link requesting different supplies and links to all the ways you can help. you can also contact me if you'd like to volunteer, astrobreaux@yahoo.com. i'm working on getting a list together of host families who would provide room and board for volunteers in exchange for farm labor.
please forward this post to anyone and everyone you know... farmers, feed stores, hardware suppliers,church groups, animal rescue organizations and animal lovers.
