My sister is allowing me to grow in her condo and she said the only stipulation is it can't smell horrible

So I can't make any sort of massive vent holes in her walls or anything (I don't even know how I'm going to get clean air in there...any ideas?)

So basically, I was wondering if you guys could suggest a nice, low odor or pleasant odor strain?

Thanks.

Strains with less odor are usually kinda shitty, what you wanna look into is using an activated carbon filter on your exhaust fan. For intake, you're probably gonna need an AC to combat heat, and put a HEPA filter on the intake to prevent incoming mold and shite. I think low odor genetics should be your last option.

Yeah, I just remembered an article in high times about a low cost carbon filter, so I'm just gonna make one of those, I have hundreds of computer fans lying around (I have a vantec tornado which is too loud for a computer, but would be just fine for the intake, just need a way of connecting it...) or I could buy another

As far as heat, yeah that's probably the only worry I have right now...

Heat isn't too much of a concern for pot though, I've grown outdoors down here before when it's been humidity out the ass and around 98 degrees for weeks straight haha

Yes on overgrow.com there is an EXCELLENT thread i think it's called "low cost carbon filter" might even be in the GrowFAQ's. It's so f'in easy, uses a 5 gallon bucket, some foam, and activated carbon from the fishy store. You connect up to the ducting of your exhaust lasts like 6 mo's is the low estimate maybe even longer.

As per growing in heat, that's all in the genetics man. Some ladies can't handle temps even past 80 too well.

Northernlights #5 is a low odor strain that produces pretty potent nuggets with above avg yields.2cesarewild is correct for the most part.

Really? Never seen NL#5 in action, only seen bags of NL, which is the product of #5 and 1 I think? Those seemed pretty stinky and dam potent. When I think of low odor strain I just picture commercial indica nugs grown in mass amounts to ship out to the masses while the grower sits back and hits some haze or nycd lol

Yeah, well I was also thinking of trying Lowryder out of pure curiosity, and growing bagseed along side of it (in case I absolutely hate lowryder) so I'll see how things work out once I get my lights in...

i don't think you will be pleased with the results of the lowryder plant. but as far as low odor strains go i have heard that g-13 is pretty decent.
