Low light levels will cause the seedling to stretch for the light.Move it alittle closer, and what kind of light ya talking about?

umm just those flexible desk light things...the bulb says "60 soft white" so i'm guessing 60 watt? i'm not sure...
but yeah, since i'm hiding it from my mom , i need for it to be as short as possible...any other tips except move the light closer that i should do?

thats the prob, you need a better light source, one specifically for horticulture. You wont get anything from that plant in the way of yields if anything with that lite source.

~peace~ i would recommend instead of using tinfoil paint the walls flat white or buy some mylar. the problem is that tinfoil can create hotspots on the plant because it doesn't reflect evenly.

no amount of mylar is going to turn a 60 watt soft white light bulb into a proper light for horticulture.
