Innocent Leber
An innocent Leber always stranded by a stream.
Is a majestic creature.
It is mildly blue.
And tainted from the strain of crossing the stream.
Though a spineless few,
Never try to break through and swim away.
They just lay there for the entire day.
Sunday in the valley
A Sunny Sunday in the valley below the mountains.
A green spring time after the April showers had filled the fountains.
The morning rays incite the presence of elegant company.
The song birds sing and the early bells ring.
Scampering of small rodents escaping the light of daybreak
The dwellers of night retreat
And spend the day asleep.
The happy Saturday morning was spoiled by the late afternoon rain.
Those that ran and played sat silently by the window.
They tapped the glass and stared at the receding rainbow.
Evening will arrive soon
Followed by half a moon and familiar tune.
And they know that they’ll wake up to Sunday.
Sunday in the valley by the mountains.
To the songbirds in the fountains.
To the rays of the warm sun.
And Sunday in the valley is always effervescent.
With grand music and flowers.
Finally dry grass after the Saturday showers.
And the green fields are haunted by enchanted laughter.
Infantile muttering of previous summers,
Leaks into the current day.
And there is no more prattle and wasting yourself to a frazzle
Just calm and mellow.
Just honey bees and dandelions of May.
A cool soft breeze and warm air.
The sky is fair.
