Both my wife and son have confirmed to me on more than one occasion that they both wished I would drink a little more. This is extremely odd being that most women complain of the husband's alcohol-consuming. However, I am not a wife-beater, obnoxious, rowdy, or rude when I drink. Nor do I drink excessively. I am a very consistent drinker, but a very cautious and limited one. I know my limits and NEVER exceed them.
However, I transform into a lovable, overtly happy, utopian when I consume. After the margaritas (mostly) set in, I become a joy to be around. I've even been told that when I am drinking I make the whole world seem warm and fuzzy--like everything is just gonna be alright.
When sober I am still a good guy, but much more cynical and serious.
My son tells me that I should drink more "happy juice". Yes, that's what his mother called it when he asked "Why is Daddy so happy today?". I further informed him that it is just for grown-ups because kids have built-in happy juice that goes emptier the older you get--so you can fill it up again with a bottle of happy juice from the "Happy Juice" store. ;)
Does anyone else find this odd? Or have this similar "problem"?
