Just because you use needles, does not make you a junkie. some ppl have their shit so locked down they can afford to get high like that....a drug, is a drug, is a drug...when needles are used correctly and mind you, 95% of users have no fucking clue...shooting is the safest way to put a drug into your boby...

It also makes drugs so much better which makes u want them more. Because there is no 2 shits about it.. slamming heroin is the best damn high there is, the rush, the warmth just nothing beats it.. samething with mainlining coke or meth.. its just so much better and cheaper. but its so much more addictive. beyond that though you are right it can be a very safe way of administration if you know what you are doing, and are careful to only use a sterile set up and not be stupid.

Sorry, but your title to the thread was..."Am I the only junkie?" :) Anyway, you're right, a drug is a drug, etc. Of course, when you mainline, your brain gets a larger proportion of the drug than if you snort or drop. You get a better high, but the addiction potential is higher. As it was explained to me, repeated bombardment of receptor sites with a drug initially shuts down a lot of receptors, so it takes more to get the same effect. And after a while, the cells kind of "specialize" in dealing with the drug, ignoring other vital functions. So when you quit, the cells are in total disarray...until you shoot up again. It can happen by just swallowing pills too, but not as quickly. But I'm a diabetic who has to inject insulin 4 times a day, so I'm not especially fond of needles.

lol there are mANY junkies where i live. myself includeed. most people are scared of needles. they ask me "how could you ever put a needle in your arm?'' i say " how can you not?" lol. it is a GREAT high but can get out of control too fast . addicting. but i still enjoy a rrrrringer here and there

That you get this rush that is so fucking intense it sounds like a train is driving in your head and you get all light headed and then all you hear is ringing in your ears and you cant feel anything...the problem is its very easy to freak out in this state, cuz it must be what death feels like...

I just shot some morphine about an hour ago. I don't particularly like needles, but snorting and popping is so wasteful in this case. And I do enjoy the rush :)

Psylence- I can't believe what I just read. Please man Do some dam research before you go saying that Shooting up is the safest ways to use Drugs. I was a IV drug user for years and was around countless IV users. Its is buy no means safe at all ! Infections and abscess run rampit. You should of seen some of them I saw they would make your stomach turn. You can get cotton Fever, Hardening of the veins, Collapsed veins,Blood infections,and the list goes on and on for all the nasty shit that can happen to you from shooting up, And lets not forget that about 80% of the Drug overdoses that happen are from iving drugs. When you IV drugs there is no going back you have to commit to that dosage and if that dose is a little to strong you are going to OD. Its not like sniffing where you can do bumps and only half a line ounce that plunger goes down you take what it gives and sometimes its a unreal High magical high,sometimes its a Emergency room visit and sometimes its 6ft under !!!!! using needles is not safe at all its the last resort on the long road of drug addiction.

yeah, think of all the countermeasures your body has against disease, both in your stomach lining, your nostrils and in your lungs. You basically bypass all of that when you shoot up, making it fairly dangerous even in the cleanliest of settings.
