It only makes sense to love conditionally--it's called self-defense, NOT selfishness. If I fell in love with someone, I would love them, but I could never love a romantic partner unconditionally--what would happen if they turned around and became abusive? Should I just forgive and forget? I don't need a romantic partner to love me unconditionally--I have my mother and god for that. And by the way, you CAN'T teach unconditional love in schools. That is a value judgment to be taught in the home. Schools can't teach everything.
