When I looked in the mirror
this morning,
someone new looked back at me.
A woman, with a smile on her lips,
where I had forgotten how to smile.
She had the certain light
in her eyes,
eyes that had gone cold and sad.
I could almost see the butterfly pulse
in her breast,
excited at the memory of your touch.
And I am utterly amazed,
for as I stare at myself in the mirror,
I can already see the difference
that your love has made in me.
