If not for biting hunger, we would never seek the feast-table.
If not for eternal thirst, we would never bend at the pure-running stream.
If not for wrenching loneliness, we would never find our friends.
And if not for dark despair, we would never seek the Light.

Let us embrace our emptiness,
That we may find our fullness.
