This is a big up to the poet Sylvan lightening...anyone care to add their thoughts?...

Personally, if he's not published i think he really should be....I reckon he's up there with the best poet's i've read, like kabir, and rumi.

He seriously [imo] should [light heartedly] publish his material and let the whole world benefit from his stunning poems.

WEll, thats all i had to say. PUBLISH!

I would agree to that. Though I am glad at least to have him post at the forums, I always find inspiration in his words.

Thank you all very much for the good vibes.
I'm sure publication has been discussed many times
before in this forum and will be many times in the future.
Do you think another sticky would be useful or I could
merge this one

with the one on multiple threads. I've decided to continue the
discussion in the above link. What I have presented is the result
of polishing by many poets on this forum, yet of course there is
a unique essence. Cheers.

I would not compare him to Kabir and Rumi, but he sure is a great writer.

Sylvan is one of my favorites here as well. I feel a very evident vibe when reading such excellent poetry, and my days are better for it :)

I think you're a master sylvan!!! you really 'should ' <-- bad word... publish. imagine the choosing though!

You're obviously publishing standard...but the style or message is much more valubale, enjoyable..and MEANT to be spread!!

If poets go like this in descending order my list.... it's Rumi, Shakespeare, Kabir, Sylvan. i think the poetry still sounds a microscopic hint 'young' but thats [r, s, K] the direction its headed imo.

Keramphtha, you have not read Kabir or Rumi in their original language. What you read in the translations are tremendously beautiful, no doubt, just as the photograph of a flower is beautiful. But when you see the flower itself, you really enjoy beauty of it. And when you see beyond, to the very essence of that flower, then you see beauty itself. Right now you are looking at the photograph. The original writings are the flower. And to experience that which Kabir experienced when he burst into song, then you know beauty itself.

thats very true..... its my perspective of rumi and kabir...through a translation... but thats my language, so i value what it says in that context
