Okay okay, I know there's plenty enough posts about this already. HOWEVER! I've decided that I want to create a little website with some recipes for when you've got the munchies! Now I know Lays chips and sandwiches dipped in dip are good, but what about real recipes? Any ideas? All I can really think of are deep-fried oreos and strawberry pizzas...

Saffron Syrup; Place 1 pound sugar,2 and a half cups of spring water and 1 small envelope of saffron into a pan.Place over low heat and stir with a wooden spoon. When sugar has melted into mixture, raise the heat to medium low and bring to a boil. Boil for 10 minutes consistently stirring with a wooden spoon.Remove from heat.Let cool. When cooled, filter the mixture. This will keep in the refrigerator in an enclosed container for up to 1 month.Yellow saffron, which is well known in Abruzzo, works well with this.

A waffle (or bunch of waffles) with a generous layer of nutella, some chocalate syrup (a good kind, not the hershey's crap), chopped bananas, whipped cream, and a cherry on top. The best!!!

*note: when I had this, it was following a large chicken super burrito. For some reason these were perfect together.
