paranormal or paranoia???

okay, i didn't see any other forum on the site that would better suit this topic, so here it is.

in the hallway downstairs, my room's at the end, and the comp room's at the beginning of it. i walked through the hall to the comp room, and looked at my door as i was passing by. it was shut. like, all the way shut. and then i heard some weird sounds from upstairs, like walking. only it was weird walking. like, stomping almost. and i could've sworn i heard my name called really faintly. so, i walked out of the comp room, looked down the hall and my door was open...that freaked me out really badly. so, i checked out my room to make sure no one was in there, cuz there have been rumours of kids breaking into houses, lately. and there wasn't anyone in there. so, i went back to the comp room and sat back down. and then i heard the stomping/walking around from upstairs again. so, i went up there, armed with a fork (http://www.hipforums.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)...nothing. and when i came back to the comp room again, i just felt this really weird presence in the room with me. like, someone was behind me the whole time...

anyhow, just wondering what any of you thought of this? my mum swears this house is "inhabited", but this is the closest i've come to experiencing anything here.

I don't want to try a ouija board, cuz I've heard it can be dangerous to connect witht he spirit like that. I don't want to try anything that could end up bad.

things like that creep me out so bad.

my first "paranormal" experience was when i was really little, and i was laying on the couch...i looked down the hall to my bedroom. my door was open, but coming from behind it i saw a black shadow of an arm coming out and wiggling its finger for me to come to it. It traumatized me and i wouldn't go in my room for a week.

yeah i used to convince myself there were like these monsters inside balloons my mom would bring me home when i was a kid... it would keep me up for hours...amazing, how powerful our minds are

ouija boards are scary..
I would cry if I used one and something tripped out happened..

it's not a good idea to use ouija boards (even though i still do) because it's like calling a payphone on a crowded street, you don't know who's going to pick up. But yeah, that definitely does sound like a ghost.

yeah, I should advise you people to not mess with things you don't understand or know in great detail about. Seriously. I know someone who died - not from ouja boards but another kind of thing, I'd tell you about it be it doesn't suit this forum.

I havent had that before but I have felt the presence of something with me. And also sometimes I hear a voice and it mutters something with great clarity but I never catch it because I'm not listening out all the time. I've also heard it say my name - even in an exam once when it was stupidly quiet I heard someone say my name and they asked how I was! In an exam full of students I turned thinking there was a teacher or something - but no one was there - it was silent. I tried to speak back in my mind but heard blurred responses so carried on with the exam. It has happened to me many other times as well as this - some times I've even spoken out - like in a bus station and everyone stared at me as if I was mad!!
