The %% is my flourescent light, one of those mini ones that fits into a regular socket, i have it on a timer to be on 18 hours a day, the fan, $$, is a computer fan blowing air out of the box, which is on almost constantly. The box is cardboard lined with aluminum foil. What can i do to make it better, cheaply.

Also, how do i germinate seeds well?

Get rid of the aluminum foil and get something actually reflective

You could use probably...uhhh...I think they're white emergency blankets? Someone can tell you what I'm talking about

I germinate my seeds by just wetting the soil, and putting the seed in...wait a few days, and it should sprout

How big is the box?
How big (Watts) is your light?

Other than those 2 questions...seems good in my limited indoor knowledge (I do have 7 plants outdoors under my belt if that counts for any sort of credibility haha)

the box is big enough for one or two small plants.

one more thing, if i plant the seed now to germinate it, should i start the light cycle or wait till it sprouts?

Couldn't hurt to start the light cycle...I mean...when I plant mine outside, they usually seem to sprout overnight...so right when they sprout it turns to light soon so...what I mean is, it couldn't hurt

Your goal in growing indoors is always to make the plants think they are outside...that's the entire point really. You're emulating nature....so if the sun always goes up and down...your light may as well go on and off in the same manner.

Well, the seed is sown. I'll repost with news.

Keep a grow journal...get a digital camera...and if you don't have one...then just get a disposable (they can't get anything on you for having pictures of weed...seeing as they aren't supposed to look at the pictures to begin with...but they always do...and on top of it...it could always be pictures of pictures etc etc..)

Ok, both of the plants have sprouted, but they're both helmet heads after 2 days in soil. If I can get a camera, I'll post pics eventually.

first screw the tinfoil and paint the walls flat white or pick up some mylar (but its kind of pricey). second if you want any good bud you need more light get as many of those little floros in there as you can and i would recommend putting them on some sort of chainfall so you can get them as close to the plants as possible, but your best bet with that kind of space is to get a 150w hps setup.

to germinate seeds if u get a paper towel and damp it down and put a couple of good seeds in there and put it in a dark place for about 3-5 days a root should come out and u can just plant that in the soil
