Hip Forums Gathering/meeting!!!

ok this is going to be a thread to disscuss a gathering type of somesort where people from hip forums will meet somewhere and hang out and talk and party and maybe some bands can play and we all can join together and have fun!

ya id say there should be some local ones, just pick a date down in the future somewhere, and see if anyone shows up. keep floggin it on here, maybe itll happen. i d say like sunday afternoon in yer local pub, but then the underagers cant come... pick up the torch and run with it, terrapin! just dont get flaming oil in your hair.

anyone got like 1000 acres with some nice springs?, if not we can use national forresst land..ofcourse south would be best unless we wanna wai till spring since it'll take time to plan & by then it'll be gettin lil chilly north..
would help to know if 10 or 200 people were thinkin of goin too & if we're thinkin of doin a weekend thing, or a week or 2

i'm 15 but i will find a way to go to whatever we decide to do i will be there! i think we should have it in a place that will have a bus station or a train station near by and forumers can have a car pool to the actual site where the gathering will be.

Hey why don't we find some open plain in kansas (dead center of america) and talk to the owner of it? I think that way it would be fair to most people, as well as somewhat easy to find....if you're underage and can't drive or do what you want, well, you can do what you want anyway, and nab a ride from a fellow forum buddy :D
And if anyone knew people in bands, hell, bring them along, right? Damn, if this happens it would be too awesome!!!! *am ready to party!*

Why not just have Hipforums preshow parties and a HF Rainbow camp/kitchen?

how about aug in Sturgis South Dakota. During the annual biker rally most of them are old hippies. Anything gos during this week event and there are so many bands of all realms that its hard not to find a good time

Yea, I'm in canada and would love to have a hipforums meet up but going to the states is jsut to far. I could dig montana, or wisconsin(sp) or something but not so dang far. Pehaps we could localize a spot in the center .. you know. Because I would hate to have to orginize a gathering for just us canadians but it's panning out that way.

Only way I've figured is to do it regionally unless people are willing or able to travel far.. The idea of finding a great fest (hopefully not a huuuge one, too hard to find your people, we tried that at GOTV some years back and couldn't find half of 'em) or something and hooking up prior is a good idea too. A state or national park would be another great idea.

theres not really any question as to whether people would come or not. if u advertise they will come. that is, pick a date far enough in the future like early summer 06 at earliest and plan and advertise online on hipforums and other sites and make flyers that people can print out and post all over the fuckin place where hip folks hang out. of course the location is going to be a problem for some people but thats the beauty of having hip forums make a thread for people from different regions (there is that already right?) so they can plan carpools bus trips w/e. thats all i got for now i would love to help get this thing rolling. kudos to terrapin station for starting this thread.
