Homemade absinthe

I made some homemade absinthe for my fiances birthday

I got a kit with all the stuff online and bought some everclear 190 proof and let it sit for week...and damn! it took 3 shots and we were gone...granted I had enough to make 2 liters and had a half gallon of alcohol so it had 120g of wormwood but its nice...tastes and smells like shit but itll kick you ass...the kit was cheap too...you can get one for like $10-$40 oon ebay and it works great....

It really is great..I recommend it to anyone who thinks they can handle it

I've never had Absinthe produce any sort of visual effect, other than the ones normally associated with alcohol (double-vision, bluriness, trails, etc.) Thujone isn't hallucinogenic in it's own right...

Well those were all there but like I said there were mild hallucinations but I need to drink more next time and see what that does for me

ps: the stuff I made was ALOT stronger than most of what you buy...so take that into account

i havent tried that shit but the shops good me and my friends have treid some of their products and prices are cheap so go for it.

you can buy absinthe in europe from most liquer stores but thats not the real absinthe just herbal liquer with 80% alcohol. that stuff in the azarius link is suppousedly the real killer.

theres worm wood in vermouth allso (my favorite wine=)) but drinking 2 bottles of it i hardly notice a diffirence it's realy very small

bull shit absinth isn't hallucinogenic. I smoked absinthium oil mixed with ketone and I tripped balls for about 30 minutes

(strong alcohol(=ethanol)+wormwood tea+anise+mint/other flavouring stuff)left to steep for 1-2 weeks=raw absithe (very bitter taste and unpleasant smell).

home made distillery*+1 unit raw absinthe=1/2 unit absinthe ("hospital smell" and no taste other than the burning of alcohol)

absinthe+sugar=mild hallucinations and a strange deepening of thoughts

*home made distillery:
pot+heavy lid(a 1 inch=2.5 cm thick plank is perfect)
2 m hose
1 tube 25 cm in diameter,30-40 cm long-maybe a bucket
good amount of ice
bottle
low fire

make a hole in the plank/lid

put one end of the hose through the hole;make sure the hose fits tightlyin the hole;clog the remaining space with something heat-resistant,you don't want vapors to escape

fit the upper half of the hose in the bucket so it forms a spiral and lay the bucket horizontally

other end of the hose goes in the bottle,lower than the bucket.

put raw absinth in pot,fill bucket with ice,cook it at 70-80 Celsius until around half of the raw absinth has been distilled.if you're greedy you might get bitter taste.

That's right on. Kits are bogus. Save your cash and buy some regular absinthe.
