Me and a friend took some Diazepam the other day (I took about 6 pills and he took 4) and my friend got sick but I didn't get sick at all. Would it be something maybe that he ate before/after, or would it be some rejection to the drug?
you are both different people in different bodies so he probably just had a different reaction to it. maybe he has a weaker stomach. i know that i am always the one getting sick on opiates while my friends are fine.

Yea, its a benzo, not a opiate. And maybe he was on a empty stomach or ate right before he took them, it really depends. It probably wont happen next time he takes that much.

theres also the strong possibility that tolerance may play into this. do you consume benzodiazapines more often then him? what isn't even enough for some people can be too much for others.

well this should be actually posted in "other drugs" forums since valium is a benzodiazepine, not an opiate. But anyway, the effects of valium and alcohol are very very similar. People get sick and puke on alcohol so i'd think that that would be normal.

Alcohol and benzos do have enough in common that Librium (a benzo) is used in many rehab centers for alcohol withdrawal. Though the mechanism is more sedation and anticonvulsant that replacement.

I found out that it wasn't actually the Diazepam. It was some Robo he took. I think he might've bought something with some extra ingredients. He took 11 or 12 of the Robitussin 8 Hour Cough Gels.

theres only DXM in those. but the inactive ingredients can often cause ill effects in many people, and the DXM itself as well.

I've never gotten sick from benzos, and I don't know of anyone else that has gotten sick from benzos, either. But, then again, the only benzos I've had were xanax, valium, and klonopin. I've only had valium and klonopin in moderate doses, but I've ate my way to the bottom of MANY bottles of xanax.
Benzos in the opiates forum?

benzos are anti convulsants and can be used to treat nausia, therefore they will have the side effect of making you puke (I'm serious. pepto pink shit the most famous anti nausiant makes me puke within two minutes of injestion, and gravol makes me nauseous...) when you get your benzos from the pharm they will come with a listing of the contradictions and side effects. one of them (im looking at it right now) is vomiting.

I used to eat 100mg of valium for breakfast daily, worst drug to come off.
