a borealis at the outer rim
is trailing wailing rpm's
caressing blessings closing in
while the counter claim is coming
out of hours underscored
out backdoors heading toward
outcast directions unexplored
in sunlight so stunning
a silhouette's only a reflection
of an epileptic disconnection
at a five point intersection
as the psyche begins numbing
and escapes desperate fingertips
longing for the coveted myth
leaving a lingering lift with
nothing but detached existence
but the polarized always attract
so relaxed and retracting back
to the blacked out contract
offering unparalleled independence
outside the outer tension
in a motionless suspension
it's merging into redemption
but it's only a vision

elevator brain, braided three by five
ignore the thirteenth floor, continue to rise
past plato's cave and socratic lore
past the burning bush's divine decor
and put your dna into the hotwired array
and play the silicone crossword crochet
cos the finest scientist cannot allay
moisture and metal combining to decay
elevator brain, braided three by five
the fifteen paths to elevated mind
combine into a charged neural machine
occupying oblivion and everything
between prayers and escalating stairs
and theory and ancient history
and channel four and raw iron ore
and those abhored and adored

on every reveling weekend
wishes poured in fountains from cents
wasted but washed, funding contentment,
finding residence
under a pained undertone
on paper discarding charcoal grain
discolored into distorted
tinged grey stains
on a soul heavier than gold
atoning accountable time,
the crime committed multiplied
along the divide
but it's about bandwidth
integrity occupies,
at least in my eyes

we're on I-40 east with only forty miles to go
and though the caliente fantasy is fogging the window
the intake is synthetic throat thunder
while her fingernails navigate the wire tundra
and the engine's running and home is lightyears away
and our arms are along the rim of the milky way
I gotta reach out, I gotta grab the blush scarlatta
I gotta wrap her in an eloquent, scaled sonata
within an ambience parallel solar flare
the feeling of fire feeding off the air
and while getting close, I'm getting tied into her clothes
and tossed into the backseat while the car coasts
into constellations, into telescopes
into hypothetics cynics revoke
lula,
who's to say this can't exist?

I love the relationships between words within your lines... "scaled sonata," "elevator brain, braided," "relaxed and retracting back"... all very beautiful

This is absolutely incredible. Very very inspiring. So was this....
[between prayers and escalating stairs
and theory and ancient history
and channel four and raw iron ore
and those abhored and adored]
Excellent new stuff, but I expect no less. :)

thanks for the replies, guys! Lula is a personal fav of mine... if anyone's interested in listening to it... it's here, and it rocks (imo, of course, haha) with big guitars, big drums, a huge huge fuzz bass, and a semi-buried vocal:

Elevator Brain is done as well, but unposted; it's for our die hard fans only, which as concerns this site, pm me and I'll send it to ya :)
The other two are currently being worked on; but yeah, these are all songs ;)

Man, quite a cadence throughout and lots of forking expansive images, in outer. I love the rhythm, in the first offering, and how everything flows without feeling too structured. These were my favorite two stanzas. :)
