Hey group;

Ok, I'll keep this one short, and thank anyone for any advice ahead of time.

So, I'm ready and want to try Salvia for the first time. I have a few questions that I really need answered before I do. I've read a fair bit about it, and have heard (over and over)

That for your first time esp you should have an experienced sitter. Now, the thought of having a sitter with me I believe is making me more anxious than I can explain.. and believe that might be too hard on me (self consous, paranoid reasons). As well, I don't know anyone else who has tried this herb. (other than possibly being spooky.. is there any harm in trying my first time alone? I have experimented with psycadelics (years and years ago.. have done large quantities of LSD (4-5 hits at a time), as well as a quarter ounce of shrooms at one sitting.. mind you, we are also going back 10 years almost, but, I do remember the experience to some degree... today, I smoke a fair bit of weed, so, being in different "states of conciseness" does not weird me out. However, I know this is gonna be different... Anyone have a good reason not to try alone?

Also, if I was to do it with others... how susceptible would a person be to divulge secrets, and information that they really shouldn’t. Call it weird, but, I remember LSD being almost like a truth serum... Does Syvia make you spill your guts about yourself and all that’s messed up with you to people your with? does the trip bond the two people who are together the same way LSD and weed do?

Anyhow, thanks everyone for any advice.

Peace

MS

you will spill but no-one will understand
I cannot not reccommend a sitter.
however the first few times I went with a few inhallations of plain leaf alone.
until it kicks ass it seems like sitters are useless.
one level 5 is all it takes and your sitter tells you to sit back down if you are beginning to wander mindlessly to prove he/she is worth his/her weight in gold.

I don't think it is neccesary for the most part. Before you guys jump on me, I think this because when I have beein in powerful, thoughtful salvia experiences it is much more meaningful if your alone. If you start in small doses, plain leaf or 5x, no it is not neccesary and might just end up you laughing your ass off on the ground and making a fool of yourself. Other people talking will mostly just ruin the deep thoughts and visions that occut when using salvia. Granted, If you are taking a large dose (20x and such) it might be better for safety precautions. I have heard reports of ppl black out and start moving around. When I use salvia it is not like i cant control my movements while im tripping, I stilll can, it just takes a long time. If you are in a safe environment with no candles or anything breakable near you and sitting on the ground, you should probably be fine.

i am pretty good at measuring my smoke
but physical succeptibility might vary, smoking method might vary, and strength of material smoked might vary.
out of ~300 times I have wandered 20 times (level 6) which were accidents that prove the worth of the sitter.
the sitter need not be in the room so you can get privacy too and have a sitter outside in the next room *they only need attend 5 minutes after you light up*.

If you believe that you are capable of handling deep states of psychedelic experience, then it is your choice weather or not to use a sitter.
Although I would HIGHLY recommend using a sitter for your first time until you are more familiar with its effects.

Salvia (at medium to high doses) will completly tear the fabric of space and time, and will throw you into another dimension, like it or not this is very intense, and many people have a tendancy to move around, completly imursed in the experience.

Choosing your sitter is an important factor to consider as well. The person should, first and foremost be experienced with these states of mind (knowing what could happen in the event of a bad experience) and should know to be respectful while you are tripping. You should share a positive emotional attachment to this person, and should be comfortable with them sitting for you (therefore you should have no reason to feel self concious around them).

To answer your second question, refer to what i said above (as in, be comfortable with your sitter).

For more information, talk to Hikaru_Zero on these forums as he is very knowledgable in this feild.
I also recommend refering to websites such as:

I wish you luck, and please use safely and responsibly.
