i need some feng shui advice

so, my son really really really likes cactus plants. and i read in an article somewhere that it's incredibly bad feng shui to keep cacti indoors. but they'll die if i put them outside and my son HAS to have them inside! so, how do i keep them from fucking with the energy flow in my home?

that's a weird one, I never heard of that, I have alot of cactus in my home. I hope that's not true.

hm, but if i put a mirror behind the cactus, then it would just multiply the amount of sharp spikes

maybe if i put a little mirror on the front of the cactus' pot...

okay, here's another dilemma~~bookshelves are supposed to cut thru the good chi. i have bookshelves everywhere! i love books, i'm surrounded by them. one fix for this that i've read about is to move the books right up to the edge of the shelf, but that just doesnt work for me. i keep a few little crystals, and novelties on the shelves too. any other ideas for a bookshelf fix?
