the lower leaves are turning yellow not the water leaves

my chron plant is 5 weeks old i am using 500 watt halogen light i also have a fan that effectively cools the closet, the plant is in a 1 gallon self watering pot. and all the leaves except for the top set and the new set of leaves are turning yellow and curling up. what the hell is goning on?

chances are you are rootbound in a 1 gal container and nute probs are becoming prevelant.

The curling up is most likely a heat issue. As green says, pot bound and nutes.


NPK and an Mg shortage/inbalance is a good sign from yellowing lower leaf matter.
