I'm not quite sure where to put this, so I'm sticking it here.

I don't see why God, if there is one, would say that you have to be of christian faith in order to pass into heaven, if that exists either. It is a waste. There are billions of people on this earth and so many different religions why would God send everyone who doesn't believe into hell? The factor that should decide whether you make it into such a place would have to be one being a good person. Hell is used as a scare tactic to make people believe in chrtistianity. It's never good to feel forced into do something out of fear. If heaven exists a fair god would take account of your life and asess it accordingly. If you are an overall good person, you should be accepted. I don't think it should be like a club that you you have to be a member in order to get in. Heaven is for all good rational humans. Does anyone else see what I'm trying to convey?

I don't believe in God or heaven, this is just my musings on the subjects.

God and Christianity have nothing to do with one another.

Thats what heaven is ;). Dont listen to fundimentalist. THey are wrong and that is that. People who have never heard of God? they will be judged accordingly. Judged on their life. I mean, do fundimentalist honestly believe that someone whose lived a good life but never heard of christ, would go to the same place that a rapist murder goes to after he dies? That is just ludicris.

I agree man. Believing out of fear of hell is not a good reason. Believing because you desire heaven is not a good reason. Believing because you are told is not a good reason. Belief in general is not important or even desirable, in my opinion. Belief exists where you're basically just guessing.

Heaven and hell, to my understanding, are states of mind. Hell is when you're attaining pain, heaven is when you're attaining pleasure. Neither pleasure nor pain are the reason for life. Truth is, perhaps, or just pure being. Thus it follows, what you believe doesn't mean shit, just what you do/how you live. Which is going to be a product of your consciousness, and whether your ego still controls you.

There are billions of people on this earth and so many different religions why would God send everyone who doesn't believe into hell? Interesting "fact". 93% of Roman Catholics believe you do not have to be a roman catholic to be in or enter heaven (have a personal relationship with God). Roman Catholic's are commonly misrepresented as believing that you have to be of their specific denomination (have their specific religious beliefs) in order to enter heaven.
