Koyaanasqatsi This we know! All things are connected like the blood that unites one family, What ever befalls the earth, befalls the sons of the earth, Man didn't weave the web of life, He is mearly a strand in it , What ever he does to the web, He does to him self, This we know. Cheif Seattle thank you.
ko.yaa.nis.katsi (from the Hopi language), n. 1. crazy life. 2. life in turmoil. 3. life disintegrating. 4. life out of balance. 5. a state of life that calls for another way of living.
All we need is trees and dedication

hmm fair point, but to be honset, we're all destined to die, eventually, and the earth isnt gonna collapse overnight as a result of pollution or rising water, its gonna take hundreds of years atleast, and even in the long run the planet is gonna die itself eventually!!
so why not just kick back, have fun and enjoy life whist we have it?
sorry if that sounds mean, but its merely the way of existence, all things end, so just enjoy it whilst you can.

yeah, theres respect, but respect for the living, but still having and exceptence that all things come to an end.
humans need respect to peacefully co-exist, and dont get me wrong i love the world, i live in the country side and really enjoy nature.
but as far as preserving it goes, its not something i subscribe to, the environment is crumbing around us, and no amount of pleasent sentiment can save it. it doesnt matter if we reserve our oil or stop littering, because eventually its gonna end. theres nowt anyone can do to save the world

Sorry to shit on your positivity but, judging from the current fuck-up in New Orleans, I would also suggest that you add FOOD and WATER and SHELTER to your honourable if somewhat idealistic soundbite there...

I will never give up hope and living at one with our great mother earth. But you are correct as well, the world is truly falling apart around use and we can right a big wrong for our children’s sake. All people are faced with this challenge and responsibility to look after our planet.
A brave new world

sorry to point this out to you, but its not apathy, far far far from it, its merely the truth of existance, if you think that the earth will exist for ever, or human beings will exist forever, your very much deluded.
excepting the chaotic nature of existence is merely excepting life, and once you've done that then your truely free to enjoy existence

Why cannot a lifeform live forever, till the end of time ?
Any organism free to roam the universe can surely survive in perpetuity. If mankind achieves the goal of space exploration then the planet will continue to exist, with its seed dispersed in the form of mankind.

hmm yes, in theory, however the probabillity of existing forever is very slim
and secondly "till the end of time" thats something you can only except if you believe in a linear concept of time, if its circular, then eternity is a long time, and lifeforms cannot exist indefinately they come into being and pass away, there are countless examples of that, from lifeforms to stars and galaxies
