The eternal question..
I choose reality when it comes to school (community college), but I choose unreality when it comes to digging life.
Exstistlentialists say that your perception is your only reality. So (hypotheticlly) if Joe SCHmo thinks that the world is flat, is the world flat?

well, it would be flat until he has to go into space, whereby hed be forced to see its round, or else say its an illusion, depending on how stubborn he is

Overgeneralizing, existentialists may say your perception is your only reality, but funtionally more important it exists OBJECTIVELY, at which point we throw the crazies that believe the world is flat into mental institutions.

yup to him the world is flat but it is not because collectivly we have seen and therefore proved it to be flat. but how can it be proven if everything is subjective? More honestly, we'd say we've agreed that it is round.
The way I see it, the world exists "objectively" but we will never know that world. We know only the world through the narrow lens of human perception and cognition.

I didn't even notice the typo. That wasn't my point. The point is, nothing can be proven objectively. It can just be agreed upon as likely.

Exstistlentialists say that your perception is your only reality.
Perception is not reality, it is the experiencing which is real. Perception is of the mind, experiencing transcends the mind. The existentialist has to prove everything to himself not take it on perceptions. The existentialist will not only say that the world is flat, he'll say it is a straight line, a circle, a dot and not there all at the same time. It all depends on perspective. The existentialist doesn't limit himself to one perspective, although he allows experience to form his perspective which is multi-demensional.
If you only drive through Kansas the world looks flat.
