View Full Version : does everyone have problems with bisexuels?
i don't say everyone has problems with bisexuels but I hear time after time that bisexuels 'are just confused', 'want to be alternative or just playing that there bisexuel' or 'they're just kidding themselves'.
Why can't a person love a men and women? Does everybody need to be put into a box. (it's like: you'r gay, you'r a lesbian, you'r hetero , you'r this and that.

Part of the problem, for society in general, is that thanks to bisexuals straight people get AIDS too. Whereas if they'd have just stuck to men straight people wouldn't have any worries in this regard.

SARCASM OFFYeah, straight men would have been fine until they shared needles with an HIV positive friend.

I am still debating weather or not I am a biosexural for two years. But I will say that " I am confused "
today People think you have to love one gender: Men or women.
Its annoys me becuse At school people joke around that there "Bi".... Kids think its a whole new "cool style" that if your not Bi, your not cool.
For me, Its been so confusing and annoying from those kids at school.

I don't claim to speak for everyone, but there are gay men who have been in relationships with bisexual men who decide that they like women better. The same situation happens in reverse for heterosexual women in relationships with bisexual men. And it probably happens with bisexual women too. When people are hurt by other people, it's more difficult to be nice about these things.
Calling yourself "gay" or "bisexual" isn't always putting yourself in a box. It can be describing yourself or explaining yourself to make it easier for other people to understand you or to understand one part of your life or your personality. I refer to myself as "gay" because I've always been exclusively sexually attracted to other men. The word "gay" describes me accurately. It's no more putting me in a box than saying I'm male or that I have blue eyes.

I'd like (i use the term LIKE veeeeery loosely here) to think, from others' negative reaction to my being bi, that it's because of these fucking slut bags who use bisexuality as a god damn trend!!!!!!!!! Chicks make out with other chicks for attention, whether it's negative or positive from other people. It makes me sick to my stomach. Have you ever gotten into a serious conversation with a slut like that who claims to be bi, and ask them if they'd ever date a woman or even have full blown sex with one??? They go off the handle man, "what are you SICK?? Thats so gross!"....RIGHT!!!
This pisses me off to no end, because on the other side, gays/lezbians hate bi's.....People think your love has to be strictly, and forever gender specific. But man, love knows no boundries......i don't fall in love with genders, i fall in love with people. If someone can't understand that, than they're obviously not the person for me. I learned this pretty early on, when i first figured out i was bi, when i was like....11. Still to this day, 10 YEARS LATER, people are trying to tell me i'm a joke, and i'm just confused.

i don't fall in love with genders, i fall in love with people.
I don't fall in love with genders either. I fall in love with people too.
The problem is that when bisexuals make that statement, it's too often taken to mean that they feel that gay men or lesbians don't fall in love with people. Many gay men and lesbians (and I include myself in that category) get really upset by bisexuals who don't understand that we fall in love with people. It's just that the people we fall in love with are of our own sex.

Then technically a straight person could get as equally offended by that.
But really, I don't see how that statement could be taken in that manner and so badly at that, that it actually offends gays. That's kind of twisting the meaning of it a little, in my opinion.

See now what kind of bisexual doesn't understand that? Not only bi's, i don't understand how ANYONE can't understand that. (but that's a whole other topic) I certainly do. By saying i fall in love with people, not genders, i'm not saying that neither totally straight nor totally gay people are solely in love with gender...not at all! It's too bad some take it in that manner, because we should all just be proud of who we love together, not against each other. This continuous bi's vs gays reminds me of school yard drama, like, there's total competition for something we should all be proud and happy for each other for. We should just all be on the same team, you know? I feel like i'm not making any sense whatsoever, i'm deliriously tired....:&

some 'bi-sexuals" may be confused about what and whether, but not all. i would probably say not nearly as many or as much as some people would like to think.

I think you just stated a large part of the problem. Few people would care if they realized that it meant you love EITHER a man or a woman. Instead, the perception is that you REQUIRE both, and that you will fuck anything with a hole.

The thing is for me I do require both but the thing is I want different things from either if you get my drift. For men I am after having my hole filled for women I want to fill theirs. Oh, ther's plenty of other things that are done & I do with either & some are the same things with with either but I don't penetrate men aside from oral sex.
That's just me. I know bi's that are in monogamous relationships. That automatically means that they aren't exercising being bi. It happens that 2 of the bi's I know are female married to males & one of this group of monogamous is a male partnered with a guy.
There are so many variations on this like anything else.
I guess I'm getting of topic somewhat so I'll try to steer back now. From my expereince gays have problems with bis in part because they feel that a bi just doesn't have the eggs to commit to being gay. Straights have problems because they feel that a bi is just a slut looking to get as much sex as possible. Like has been said. A bi is attracted to both genders again there are variations on degree of atraction & I venture to say that there are different things that the individual is attracted to the genders but a true bi is undoubtable attracted ot both & that is just the way it is.

Snowdancer - your answer is much more acceptable than mine.
I agree, ESPECIALLY on there being so many variations. Nothing is black and white, especially when dealing with people. . .
Thank you for your insight.

I say you are whatever you are attracted to at the moment. Some days I'm gay, some days I'm straight, most if not all days I'm in love with everyone. I LOVE love making, two girls, two guys, one guy one girl, whatever man. All very beautiful if the reasons are right. A little love never hurt anybody. ;)

logically, you cannot believe in gay and straight but believe there is nothing in between. it just doesn't make sense.
sure..I've known guys who used the label 'bi' as a transition to their coming fully out. Softens the blow or whatever. But that's not the rule.

Exactly; I used bisexual as a description of my sexual orientation because it was the closest thing, that I knew of, to my true feelings. I now know that the correct label for it, is omnisexuality; I don't believe in a binary system of sexual preferance. When I look at someone, I look at who they are... not what they are. I do not lust...

maybe I'm confused
maybe I want it both ways
maybe I'm just doing it cuz its "hip"
maybe its just cuz its fun to suck dick and eat pussy in the same day
If it ain't fun why do it?
Some gays are just bitter now. They used to be the "hip" ones.

C'mon, We ALL do things for attention don't we?
Who are we to say one persons way it is pathetic? It may piss you off, but why is it pathetic?
It pisses me off when people sink tons of money in theyre cars (huge spoilers, $8,000 sound systems, ultra fancy paint jobs etc.) but thats really my problem, not there's.
Why judge other people? They may have really good reasons for doing the things they do. We'll never know.
This is a lesson I need to learn over and over and over.

Not at all.
Think about hair. Some are totally into blondes. Some are into brunettes. Now, there might be one who likes someone regardless of hair color. Sure, one might be into blondes, but if they ended up in a relationship with a brunette, it doesn't mean they don't like blonde hair anymore. Why does it have to be different with bisexuals? It doesn't.
I like guys. I like girls. I ended up with a girl. And it had nothing to do with boob size or what kind of genetalia she had. It's because she makes me feel complete. And sex might be different with a guy vs a girl, but it doesn't mean that either one can't be fulfilling. I'm very happy with my sex life and I don't need to be with a different gender in bed to be satisfied. Sure, we might discuss some fun activities at a later date, but if it stayed this way forever, I'd be perfectly happy.
