I HATE when people call stuff retarded. They even claim that an INANIMATE OBJECT is retarded. I'm sure that test you just took had a mental illness. If you were to call something retarded in front of a learning disabled person, they would be deeply offended. Trust me, I would know.

The whole retarded thing I think has alot to do with where you are from and when you grew up.

The word retarded is pretty well used where I am from and its never used as an association with a mentaly challenged person.

I don't like when people use "retarded" or "gay" as adjectives. My sister is mentally retarded, and it hits close to home when people use the word. Two of my good friends are homosexual, and I don't like how "gay" is used to mean "stupid", because they're definitely not stupid.

Personally, I use it very rarely...but I do use it. And I used to say things were "gay", but then I found out a good friend of mine was homosexual and I couldn't bring myself to use the term anymore.

Bottom line...they are just words...we can choose them...or not choose them. *shrugs* It's not that big of a deal...I've heard worse...The *n*-word is one of them...I've heard LOTS of people use that term...personally, I couldn't use it...
