My shul is 20 minutes from Red Rocks and Aug. 20 was Reggae on the Rocks.
We had a guest in shul, Matisyahu, who read and davened with us. At the kiddush, he talked about his journey from Phishhead to Orthodoxy.
Quite cool.
unfortunaetly, a bunch of the locals who only show up for "special" stuff dominated all the questions, and I was asked before hand to restrain myself from an interview. (I interviewed the rabbi when the center opened and have covered several of the events--so if I start to "work" he will point it out to me , on my request.)
