I think Ive been through about 6-7 usernames before.

Anytime I return to the forums with a new screenname, people treat me differently (more politely) and I reply in kind. This confuses a certain moderator who would then try and 'uncover' me using Sherlockian wit and skill , which I think is pretty funny since neither myself or most members were ever confused as to my identity anyway.

The last time I had to sign up under a new screen-name, I decided to throw them for a curve and use different sentence structure.

Everyone loved FasterNow and didn't let their prejudice stand in the way.

Now, on this happy occasion I return to my original and most famous screen-name Juiceman3000.

I understand what the $10 is for, its just more than I could donate to something like this. They should let you donate $1 or $2 or whatever you can. That is called a micropayment, and, last I heard, it still was not feasible in technical terms to have such small amounts routinely transferred. But it is greatly desired and believed that, when it is possible to make payments of 50c or a $1 etc., that that will change the nature of the things we buy online.

Like you, I can't afford the $10 or more for all the forums I visit, but, if it were easy to pay a small amount for each one, I would, and there's probably a lot more people in that position.
