cheers mate could you help me with one other thing iam growing in rock wool first time at growing in any thing anyway when the roots are coming out the bottom there is loads of tiny white hairs on the roots is that what soaks up the food or is it some kind of mould

those white hairs are root hair- they absorb moisture to help out in photosinthesis- if you see them you should pot the plant asap
