I was just wondering if this was a good light to use for growing bud.
The problem is i can't really tell what kind of light it is. All it says on the package is that it's full spectrum and good for certain plant like herbs, houseplants and bonsai's. It's 150 watts but i can't tell if it's florecsent, Mh or HPS. Anyone have any luck with these lights or know anything about them?

Describe the shape of the bulb.

im not sure i think by the look of the reflector it must be round shaped.
here's a link to one of the vendors

im now thinking that it's probably not florescent because on the box at the store it shows a chart of how far away you are suppossed to have it from the plants. I know that with MH and HPS they give off alot of heat so you would want to keep them a certain amount from the plant. Then again i don't really know. However it does cover up to a 30 inch growing area i don't know if thats height or length.
I'm also thinking about getting their hydro system which looks resonable.

the problem is i don't think a 150 watt mh or hps would only cost 26 bucks

I'm 99% sure that the light is NOT MH or HPS. One clue is that it says it's good for houseplants and terrariums.
It's an incadescent. It will grow small pot plants, but not nearly as much bud as an HPS at 50 watts per sq/ft. growspace.
I wouldn't recommend it.
