We're moving to Arizona from PA in 6-8 months, I've been searching the Sedona area (it's totally amazing) but the cost of living seems very high. The phoenix area seems more affordable to live in and there are alot more jobs. But i'm doing all my research via the net, can anybody living out there in Arizona give me some real life advice about the different areas?:) Thanks

depends on what your looking for, Phoenix area is HOT, easily in the 100's all summer, nice in the winter, big city, lots of crime. Sedona is nice, expensive, check out Jerome, nice artist hippy town, it survives on tourists. I live in the Show low area, nice here, not many hippies, small town. I can't think of any place in Arizona that isn't nice cept for Yuma. good luck and welcome when you get here. I grew up in PA.

PHX..to hot, to crowded, to much crime, driving around there is crazy...they are on the news EVERY morning with accidents.
I love Show Low except in winter, never been to Yuma, Prescott is a really cool place.

I'm leaving Kingman, AZ on Aug 16th. If you are anywhere near Philly greyhound bus station then I could bring you pics & newspaper.

you can live in the phoenix area and not live in phoenix! a lot of the suberbs are really nice... tempe is nice, but very centered around ASU. i live in goodyear... actually.. there is a small town in this area, Litchfield Park... it is such a wonderful place!! it's a really great community and only about 1/2 hour away from being in phoenix. there's not much in that small town, but because all of the towns merge together, you're 5 minutes away from anything (goodyear, avondale, the luke afb area, etc...) it's very... marryvale... if you want more info, you can pm me :)

I like Arizona, I'd say its amazing weather. I wish it was a nudist community, I think I would love the weather more then I do if I would walk around naked. I think the cost of living isn't expensive. I'd say look around and check out the prices, I think it varies from my experiance, when I was looking for a place I would call my home.

I give my peace, I give my love:)

Tucson is a great area. I have lived in Phoenix for four years and haven't found much good about it, the driving is terrible, it's spread-out and polluted and Republican. I don't like Arizona much actually because of the weather (I am a rain girl) but I lived in Tucson for a few months and I really enjoyed it. With urbanisation going full force I'm not sure how long it'll stay how I like it but it's much smaller than Phoenix and altogether seems more relaxed (although the driving is still crazy, but you can ride your bike everywhere.) Flagstaff is a beautiful town too but being so small I hear it is difficult to find jobs.
