this is a plant i've grown in a tiny pot, just to see what would happen really - its vegged for maybe 2 months, in flower now for 2/3 weeks ( i've forgot to take notes this time round :& :( )

how do you think it'll do?! its starting to bud up now! its mad, the other plants planted at the same time are huge - i didn't think it would get this far! i thought it might kinda just give up cos it doesn't have any space to develop roots, but its still going! its stretched a little since going into flower, and its a probably a bit to far away from the lights ... but it seems to be doing fine!

when it does start to bud up more i'll probably have to work something to hold it up, cos i can see it'll just fall over from the weight! i wonder if it'll have just a mini cola on top of that long skinny stem?!

so place your bets ... how much weed will i get from it?! :)

if you don't mind weed in the post, the person with the closest guess can have half its yeild! hehe what yield?! we'll have to wait and see ... :p

By the stretch I surmise it's under poor light, so the buds won't be very potent.

haha you might be right golden avatar! the thing is the pots so small, it drys up so quick, i'd be watering every half hour otherwise! ;) like i said though its doing alright and its 2 and half or so months old! i really didn't think it would make it this far, i honestly thought it would just kinda give up - the pots tiny, i can't believe its started to bud!

its interesting thats its not developed any side branches, i guess because it can't get the root support it needs, it doesn't bother even trying to grow them - it just grows up! i wonder though if it will reach a certain height and stop because otherwise it would just fall? or will it just keep growing up and topple itself over? will the amount of bud it develops only be enough that it can hold without falling over? or will it grow a normal sized cola and crush itself under its own weight! :D

just to clarify to people who think i'm mad for doing this, i have plants in proper sized pots - this little thing is just a mess around, just to see what would happen. i never expected it to get this far let alone start budding, so this is all a bonus :)

a five gallon pot should be the min size for growing. That plant looks like its not getting enough light. You really need a HID for flowering. I wouldnt be surprised if you havrvested a joint.

Thai is a really weedy sativa that grows lots of loose skimpy buds. I tried growing some indoors years ago, it took over the room. How ever hard I tried I could not control the stretching and as for manicuring, it didn't really produce any proper colas all I could do was to chop of all the small buds and tie them up together. This growth is down to its genetics. Probably why you don't see many pure Thai seeds for sale there nearly all crosses to try and thicken up the colas.
If you ever buy any Thai don't be tempted to plant the seeds indoors.

Best way to grow thai is to grow the plants dense together, so they don't produce side shoots. You end up with big buds growing off the stalk, looked like a cactus to me. Then ya tie them up so they take up even less horizontal space.
Usually Thai is grown in rows less than 12 inches apart with lights hanging vertically inbetween. So you end up with a really tall stick of tied up bud.
Tie-Stick was popular because it wasn't uncommon to see a 2 to 4 foot long 'bud'.

it wasn't the police or aliens, i just got bored and started reading chomksy in my spare time instead - this place had some good posters, but unfortuanetly had as many people butting in on threads who hadn't bothered to read the posts or wanted to impose their 'advice' on others - as this thread is unfortuanetly testament to now ... i've just popped back to post info about a petition to stop blair become middle east peace envoy and was looking around so for any of the good old crew that are still about and were interested; it was .3 grams over a 1/4, 7.3g :lol:

i kept the root as a memento of the grow, i still think it funny it managed to flower in that tiny sized pot - i might have to do something similair again, but with a smaller pot next time :H

it was a lovely tasting weed, almost like sherbet :)

heres a pic of it in the growroom, so people can understand i wasn't just growing that one plant, it was an experiment in with the rest of the grow - see the smaller one in the middle, bigger ones on the outside ...
