I have about a three foot female, not sure of the variety, since it was a gift. Problem is, the new leaves and shoots are going dark, almost a grey-black on the tips and along the serrated edges. Mostly the new leaves are affected. I recently sprayed with Later's Insectidal Soap to get rid of a few wee green inchworms and the black tips and edges seem to have appeared since then. Too much soap? Anything else it might be? Any answers and suggestions welcomed. Thanks, Fraser

Throughly flush the soil, also spray the plant with plain water.

Indoors or out?
Vegging or flowering?
What's your feeding regimen?

Also what time of day did you spray it? very early morning- close to sunrise is the best time to spray. Evening molds can develop overnight- miday you can burn it. Indoors i spray after or just at lights out, because my fans pull humidity out all night.
If you sprayed while the sun was on it- chances are it got burned. What we call water spots- or in your case water damage.
I think rangerdanger seems concerned you may have residual soap damaging your plant- this may be true as well.
just pay attention to when you spray it off- i give mine shower massages all the time.

It did occur to me to spray thoroughly with fresh water to wash off any residual soap that might have burnt the leaves. Black tips and edges still there but don't seem to be spreading. Thank you kindly for your input. They are outdoor, Rangerdanger. Not really a super sunny spot since I'm surrounded by big cedars and the like. Is it normal to have the lower leaves going yellow? My watering and feeding are irregular, being a bit concerned about over-watering and burning the root system with too much fertilizer. Suggestions?

its normal for lower plant leaves to yellow and enevitably fall off while in the mid to later parts of the flowering process,a normal process of plants.let em yellow and fall on there own.
