So, on the way out of the gathering, a local invited us go to his place after and do a shower and laundry movie. In his shitter happened to be a week old paper that just happened to list a school board auction with ten school buses, only a day away.
This sounded too synchronized for us not to go. So we hung around an extra day and went to the auction. The nine gas buses went for between $125 and $300, but the one nice diesel...
And I mean nice diesel. The biggest type of bus made, a 1991 Thomas, 89 passenger (biggest bus you can get, 14 windows) flat nose, with a Cummins straight 6 motor, automatic tranny, air brakes, simply everything you could want in a bus (except that it has an automatic transmission), and with a HUGE storage compartment underneath... even tinted windows. And the best part is that the motor and tranny have been recently replaced, so this bus is in great shape.
The best thing about this auction is that we didn't need to pay up front. We only need a $50 deposit... so we bid... and we won. And so now we have this super cool bus, which we really don't have the money for... If we can't find any family that want it, and can afford it, we'll sell it on ebay, as I think we could probably make a good profit on it there, but if any family can get together $2000 with a quickness, they can have this bus, which I think is a really good deal, as otherwise we will try to get more for it on ebay and make a profit. ;)
Just sending the family word out. I'd really like to see this awesome bus to go to good family that wants it.
Love and Light,
Joshua
