well family
we did it
we had our little rainbow baby in the woods
i don't know if any of you heard about her but i guess there was another baby born besides our little magnolia jo rainbow
she was a healthy 9 lb 4 oz
we were camped by tea time and kid village
we didn't makea big spectacle out of it but it was an awesome experience
i want to thank anyone out there who was a part of it, you know who you are
here's the birth story...
she came into the world on july 3rd at 3:07 am
the drum cirlce was peaking, as you know it does, as she crowned it was like a drum roll and then everyone cheered
then when she came out the drum circle stopped and all was silent except our little one crying her first cries
then while i fed her from my breast and we cleaned her off and waited for the cord to stop pulsating, one person played a soft drum beat like a heart beat in the distance
it was so magical
thanks family
loving you
see you next year for her first birthday!!!

So you're the woman with the true Rainbow child! I heard about the little miracle at CALM later that day!

Congratulations mommy!

wow such a beautiful story
i was amazed at how last year in cali there were soooo many births, & so many other babies there only weeks old
don't quote me on these numbers, but they were told to me by someone at calm
by the 4th there had been 114 marriages (i personaly witnessed 4 within 2 hours) and something like 65 births, all but 2 i think in the woods
i met 1 young sister there who had been conceived at a regional, born at a national & had been to every national since birth....& i had he fortune to meet her on her birthday
just imagine where the famoly may be when yur baby reaches yiur age.... fow much we will hace grown..every child born is like a gift to theyre family, but a child born into the rainbow (and with the name rainbow too) is like a gift to the world

next year..big birthday party at kid villiage..i'll be there :)

i have seen you at two gatherings at least.
west virginia and cali
are you from cali?
i have a dear friend in humbldt who looks a lot like you
in fact i think i asked you if you were in him at the cali gathering
do you know fingers dave?
that's who you kinda look like
but i have seen you many times

i want to say thanks to everyone who commented and also to those out there who didn't think i could do it
i only got negative feedback from a few men, no women
that's ok
it goes to show the power of the rainbow, with a little faith and magic
we made it happen, hard work, but we did it
in fact, the midwife said she had been to 23 gatherings and out of all the births she has performed, i was the most prepared
i was really proud of that and how well i did through the natural labor
thanks again family
loving you

thats a beautiful story... put a lump in my throat. Welcome to the world, baby rainbow. :)
I had all five of my children by natural childbirth. Its truly spiritual. I hope that moment stays forever in your heart and mind. I wonder if a few years from now she might remember the drum beats??
Congrats. :)
