Peace and love is the only thing that'll win.

The Man is after you, the Man is after me,

The government, the FBI, the CIA,
The man's just another name for the USA.


We'll run through the fields of flowers,
Away from the riot squads and the tear gas showers,
From where the president just sits there and cowers,
Away from the whole damn war.

So i'll pack up my suitcase, body and soul,
Go to some far away land and live in a hole,
Just to a place where there is no war,
Where freedom runs free and love and peace soar.

Likened to a tree,
I lived in an Oasis once.

Grew magical gardens,
languages of the Soul.

One day the misguided
came across me,
and cut down the tree
for a piece of fruit.

Now alone, cold, and
being pursued,
tried to find a home.

Ideals of the land.
Half fulfilled promise.
Learned of the self,
of human indentity,
and dignity.

Turned with spirit
to deliver the body
to what is correct.
