What am i doing wrong?

I recently purchased some 10x salvia which i just recently smoked. My neighbor and I smoked about .8g over the course of a few minutes and felt only slightly stoned... probably from hitting the resin that was already in my pipe. What did we do wrong?? I hear using a crack torch helps to acivate the chemicals, but is this really that important? Would using a bong help? I doubt that we are both immune or are hardheads. Any thoughts would be appreciated...

it is most important to hold it in your lungs.
the torch just helps burn things faster, but with extract you don't need to go through so much material.
I think your 10x might have been of an inferior quality.
that much material should have got you going.
It would have sent me 'round the bend 30 times.

Take the biggest hit you possibly can, hold it in as long as you can, and hold the flame on the stuff for the entire hit.
