Thickness of blotter paper

How thick is it usually? I only ate acid once and it was on.. almost cardboard. Like the front cover of a notebook. Is this normal?

Not particulary normal, but not particularly abnormal. I have seen both very thin, as well as quite thick, paper used. When preparing to lay out sheets an absorbsion test is usually done on a sheet of blotter paper to determine just how much liquid the paper will soak up. This will define the liquid to crystal LSD ratio needed to make whatever strength hits you are producing, hopefully 100 micrograms.
