Does anyone have a source for non-brand-name ballasts?

A website (URL), or store, or ???

All Google ever shows is Sunlight & Hydrofarm...and there's plenty more out there.

Was getting two 600hps this weekend..and the guy had his store closed. Store is 80 miles away...so forget it...I can't afford the gas.

In fact, if anyone has good source for equip, grow-products (fertilizers, etc.), or ??... please post.

You get what ya pay for,I recommend sunsystems as they carry a five year warranty and also have high temp capacitors which no others do.

Yes, SSupply makes a good product...and they back it up. I have two already.

Anyone have experience with ballasts, etc., from Venture Lighting?

venture are not as good as advanced- but probably what your looking for.
www.goodmart.com might have a decent price on the kits

Hey thanks. That's a great site.

Is "Advanced" a ballast/light supplier?

And are there "tricks" I should pay attention to if I'm going to try raw/kit ballasts?

Yes hydrofarm uses advanced ballasts.
No tricks im aware of. Id reccommend a box of some sort to mount it in. Keep airflow near it too.
