CU Boulder for J and CU Denver for music production.
I'd figure out a tuesday-thursday at one and MW/F at the other.
do you have writing experience?
why writing AND production?
just curious
I earned my J degree in 2000 from University of Central Oklahoma and wrote for An Honest Tune for a while.
working press now, general assignment.

School Newspaper is about it. Those are both my interests really. I'll probably just pick one and go.

well, writing is easier to grasp than music production. Perhaps major at the good music school and get lots of J classes?

I just got accepted to the University of Oklahoma / Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication. (What a mouthful). Most people I've told about it tell me it's an excellent school for journalism. They also say it's a hard school tho.

I've heard good things about USC's journalism program.

YAY Bree!
Watch out, before it was called Gaylord (ugh... I did tell you I worked for them after the bombing?) the News I class required you to work for the Oklahoma Daily (campus paper) for free.
Another reason I went to UCO instead. The Vista paid me.

Thanks! :D Yeah, I figured something like that would pop up, but I'm not to stuck on getting paid. It's only for a while and it's good learning experience I guess... not getting paid sorta takes some pressure off, not that it's gonna be any easier but still... At least all I have to worry about is getting credit for it.
I didn't know it was called something else :P And no I don't recall you saying that but my memory sucks. LOL!

I've heard good things about University of Missouri-Columbia.

I've heard that the J school at University of Missouri - Columbia is really good... But, everyone I know in the J school here is planning to go in to television journalism, I don't personally know any writers (but I could count the number of journalists I know on one hand, so that's not a representative sample!).
But, it's probably worth checking their website (search for journalism on www.missouri.edu).

You could maybe look at Columbia College of Chicago (www.colum.edu (http://www.colum.edu), I believe). My boyfriend is considering transferring there for journalism, and from what I know of it I would imagine they would have production, also.
