Colorado 'batman' shooting?
Twelve people have died and another 58 are wounded after a gunman opened fire at the midnight premiere of the new Batman movie.
The shooter was 24-year-old James Holmes, a graduate student at the University of Colorado. He claimed to be the Joker, a character from another Batman movie.

A federal law enforcement official said Holmes is believed to have propped open an exit door in the theater as the movie was playing, donned protective ballistic gear and opened fire.
Police said he had an AR-15 assault rifle, a shotgun, and two .40-caliber Glock handguns. Holmes is also believed to have hurled a gas canister into the theater before opening fire.

People need to be aware that this isolated incident does not make movie theaters unsafe. The location and setting were mostly arbitrary, and mass shootings can occur anywhere where a massive amount of people are gathered.
I don't think people need to be any more afraid of seeing a movie than they are to go shopping at a mall, for example.

The guns were legally bought at Gander Mountain and Bass Pro Shop 6 months ago. These shops are not to blame.. But at what point does it become logical to be questionable about why someone would purchase 4 guns in a 6mo time frame. I'm all for the right to bare arms.. but hording them?

Sure it's been happening but honestly when I heard this story.. the first thought that came to mind was "When the fuck did this country go 3rd world?" we're in the united states.. suicide bombings.. mass killings.. this shit happens in 3rd world countries... that shit shouldn't be happening here.. it really shows the decline this country has been in |
