Default Aussie Naked Rambler Set Free

This is great.

This guy was set free, after spending 657 days locked up.

Previously, each time he was set free, the authorities lay in wait outside the prison gates just to arrest him again, repeatedly.

Finally, they changed their policy, and for the first time in years, he gets to go visit his kids.

Go, naked guy.

k.i.s.s.

Yes, in most places, if one was suddenly, unexpectedly seen walking naked in public, there are those who would be shocked, as well as those that would be angered, as well as those that would be bemused, excited, disgusted, envious, inspired, etc. etc. The list goes on and on, as to what the reactions of the surrounding population would be, and we each tend to pick the reaction we would have and judge that as "normal", unless we are honest with ourselves, recognizing that the world is made up of many different types of people, from various and manifold cultures, some of which esteem the naked body, and some of which do not.

let's say that 25% would be shocked. Even if nudity is not shocking to you, you must admit that it would be shocking for some others. I figure you have to be pretty darn uncivilized to just be going around naked.

So what you assume for the "norm" may just be your inborn bias.

Let's concede that shocked/alarmed is not the 'standard' reaction, but still with half a brain, you would guess that 'shock/alarm' is definitely a POSSIBLE reaction.

Then, you assume again that if such a one "knew" that the surrounding public would be shocked in seeing him/her in various states of undress, total or partial, that the sole intent of the naked one, in being naked in public, would, by default, have to be motivated by a desire to "terrorize".

In the 2008 article,
The sheriff said: "Mr Gough's position is that he is entitled and has the legal and moral right to be naked in public and the public have no reason to be concerned about his nakedness. ... He can end this by simply making his own free choice to put on his clothes like the rest of the population and to go home, or to go back to prison."

Tell me, do you imagine yourself an intelligent person? Then explain why an intelligent person such as yourself could come up with no more than
one possible explanation of this test study of a man, as to his/her personal motive.

I already gave one and two in the previous post. Let's count back earlier in the thread also for #3.
1. he's fuckin nuts. [and needs psych help]
2. he's a terrorist. [and needs jail]
3. he's a bum scamming the justice system for 3 hots and a cot [let him; then we at least don't have to look at his junk waving around]

I assert that there might have been no motive at all, saving to enjoy the experience of walking naked and unconcerned, feelin' the breeze. Kind of like digging ones toes in the sand at the beach, huh?

The motivation if that were the case, was NOT "Well I'm gonna go see my kids now." The same with each release. He chose again and again to go back to jail instead of going to see his children. I could feel a lot better sympathy about him being the 'psycho naked man' if it weren't for the fact he was torturing these kids through it.

Maybe if he really wants to walk around naked he can do so in private... nudity is not for public, he proved it to the world when he was arrested repeatedly, but he can't learn it himself.

I think people have a tendency to demonize their privates, attributing no good thing to them, save to "get in trouble". Personally, I am not naked except in front of my wife, in private. I don't even like to be naked in front of my 25 yr old son.

Demon privates? No, I'd call it a demon man, waving them around like a lunatic. Congratulations on being naked only in front of your wife, as everyone in normal society should be, according to the law and common sense.

But I think it's silly.

Might be good for a laugh, naked man in public, hee hee hee, what about them clothed kids? What about when the naked man goes up to your grandma's house, your mother's house, your little sister...

Go to google, type this,

"Define: public nudity"

read this,

--indecent exposure: vulgar and offensive nakedness in a public place.

Vulgar and offensive... those are not even my words. Not "might be vulgar and offensive, among millions of other possible reactions" but "plain, clear-cut, vulgar and offensive."

So, you have to use google to fully define your sense of morality?

If you don't know how to see something, what view to take, you google it and do whatever it says?

Well,,I guess whatever floats your boat.

Google has become your magic-eight-ball predictive device, as well as your moral authority. No further need for a brain or a conscience. Just find out what most people think, and imitate.

Great policy. Sounds like something Obama might suggest.

While "civilized" guys in business suits, bankers, politicians and "businessmen" continue to cheat, lie, rob and steal from Joe public.

Oh, but they're protected because they lawyer up and can't recall anything.

But at least they're wearing "civilized" clothing, while they rape and plunder.

Fuck ethics, as long as you're wearin' clothes, I guess. As long as you got your pants on, you're an ethical man, eh?

I'd feel so safe amongst all those nice men on Wall Street.

Here, Mr. Financier. I know I can trust you, by the clothes you wear. Take my money and do the right thing.

I had figured it was very clear what I thought about this lunatic far before I employed google to grab a few definitions ensuring I was using the words correctly. Nice try there however.

Yeah. There are naked criminals and clothed criminals, naked civilians and clothed civilians. Those who wish to practice nudity, are fully allowed, at any of these places they choose so to do or abstain, freely. [Freedom of choice, I don't have any idea of whether or what costs are involved... if you need to know, look further into it yourself]

Well let's look into this. [without the use of google, since it seems to be a big issue]
Pick apart the phrase "private parts." Everyone immediately knows exactly what parts you are talking about. Those meant to be kept private. People in public, cover them up, for the other people in public, who also have them covered up. It is a sign of mutual respect.

The guy running around naked, is a flagrant display of DISrespect towards the general public and their feelings about the [correctly named] PRIVATE parts. It is just very poor show of etiquette on the naked guy to force the general public to feel uncomfortable [even if we don't go to the level 'shocked/alarmed']. So much so, such that the police had to come and deal with the very real, and not imagined, PROBLEM of a naked man roaming the streets.

I say leave the crazy fuck in jail until he puts clothes on, gets transferred to a mental hospital, or dies.

He doesn't like the rules of society? Sounds like a raw deal...

But wait!, nobody else does either, however they are forced to obey, as he should be also.
I am not walking around pointing a pistol at every other person I see and robbing them, even though that sounds like a great time,

1. It is not respectful or polite to the other people in society
2. It is highly illegal
3. Didn't see anybody else doing it

and finally, I would bet that somewhere out there, there would be one powerfully ignorant,[ignorant of the rights/feelings of normal, 'non-robbing-everybody', society, that is] internet trolling fuck, defending my actions as "my personal choice and right, given to me such by the fact of being born human."

Now replacing 'robbing everyone' with 'exposing your junk to everyone' will hopefully help you to see why I am with the views I hold on this subject.

Actually, some people also like to keep art private, not allowing the public to see what someone else has created. Shame on them. It just makes it more lucrative as well as tempting for the thieves, when things are hidden away to keep their "value" up.

And just so, when the alleged "value" of "private parts" is artificially pumped up by attaching a stigma to nudity, we have more rape, not less, and more "illicit behavior", and not less.

For those societies who are comfortable with public nudity, you do not find the same social stigmas attached to the naked body, and a generally healthier attitude.

If you think our so-called "superior civilization" is truly that, you've been seduced. You are simply biased.

I pity those who think the true definition of "hip" is so superficial as to imply merely a perennial "costume party", with paisley this and rainbow that, and can't tolerate the sight of another human unclothed.

Huh. Look above for a perfect example of a big fat old fashioned "red-herring-argument."

Well you don't mind if I drop my kids off at your house now so I can go start robbing people then do you? I promise to be back... well... I will be back if the police allow me to make my way back over there robbing people as I go...
