Default Supreme Court OK's Obama's Health Care Law!

Today the Supreme Court upheld Obama's Health Care Law, in its entirety! Even the individual mandate to buy coverage is upheld. This is a huge victory for Obama and the American people. This means every American can now afford health care!

It's more of a sign of America's decline that no one ever sees a tax as possibly being good anymore. Instead the words "freedom" and "constitutional" are thrown around with no indication of what purpose they serve, except to instil fear.

You're better off having a healthy populace full stop. This was as true in ancient times as it is now. The social and financial costs of an ill workforce, epidemics and general unrest are far more than the costs of a tax to cover minimum health requirements.

^ This.

Also, unless you're earning a substantial income, I'm pretty sure the cost of tax will be lower than the cost of insurance...

"Take that Republicans"? I cannot believe you're that much of an inside-the-box thinker, Skip. Most of the more informed people here know that's all bullshit, and that political parties don't mean shit. Most people have woken up to this, yet you still tow the establishment line after all this time.

It's more of a sign of America's decline that people are so dependent on government to run their lives. People have gotten to the point where they believe that is the government's role.

Most Americans are fat pathetic slobs who are unhealthy because we live under a system where something called personal responsibility has become non-existent. I used to be fat and unhealthy until I took some personal responsibility and made changes in my life. I don't feel I should have to pay for slovenly people who are unwilling to take care of themselves.

Do you think government-run healthcare is going to somehow equate to a healthier population? That is very naive thinking.

>Forces everyone to buy healthcare, which basically artificially increases demand
>Said health insurance firms can now increase costs because people aren't allowed to not buy it
>Puts massive taxes on health insurance firms
>Implying they won't pass this on to consumers

I agree that people should take care of themselves. But it's no good telling them that - they won't listen. If you ask me it's people taking a little too much 'personal responsibility' in other areas and not enough responsibility for their neighbours. Everyone is responsible for everyone else in their country (the world too but we're not ready for that yet), and when you get total neglect of that fact through things like irresponsible advertising, a fast-food industry that isn't regulated at all and a pleasure-dominated culture, of course you'll end up with unhealthy people. Either change that culture or help them but it's no good just saying fuck 'em.

27,000 American die each year simply because they don't receive medical treatment. That is a national disgrace.

The fact that children and babies and defenseless people are allowed to die because of how our good Holier than thou self-righteous evangelist society chooses to function, really pisses me off.
That is un-American!

Personally, I believe that any doctor, hospital administrator, or politician who even remotely stands by and allows even 1 innocent to die, should be tried for murder and if found guilty, be put to death by firing squad. Public executions to make examples for others.

I wish this would happen.

Shoot them in the head at the capitial. Let the blood flow down the steps of those white marble stairs. Ahhh it will be a kodak moment.

Its a good feeling knowing "well since this fucker is dead we don't need to worry about him taking advantage of millions anymore. Gosh that was so easy". Now lets move on to better things for our children and the future shall we?

Could you imagine? Fucking awesome.
