Terahertz Sensor Sees Thru Walls, Clothes, & More
Remember those fake X-Ray spectacles you could buy from the back of a comic book? Real ones may be coming soon!
Scientists have begun researching applications that involve the Terahertz spectrum, between infrared and microwave radiation. This spectrum is largely unused and available for consumers and corporations. It can transmit data at higher frequencies, thereby allowing more spectrum and data capacity.
But even more interesting are applications that penetrate various materials to see what is inside. Also the technology can be incorporated into tiny CMOS chips, the kind used in cellphones and other hand held devices. So one day, with a cellphone, you might be able to view studs in a wall, a tumor, or of course, thru a person's clothes...

Can't you see thousands of people in a mall with these things on,bumping into each other trying to see under clothing?

Yeah my pair never worked , sons of bitches . I hope they come in a better style now . Yet somehow I bet they wont be so cheap as way back when . China , won't be able to keep up with demand . The factories will have to go 24/7 . Randy dudes will be camping out in lines at big box marts . The riots in asle 3 when they run out , will make black friday look like a picnic .

They did. They were stupid looking. And of course,they didn't allow you to see anything except your own stupidity for buying 'em. hahahaha--I must have been 10 when I bought them. Anybody remember the Johnson & Smith catalog?? I bought handshake buzzers and itching powder from them. What an idiot!!! Sorry Skip--kinda off target.
