Iraq War Vet Shoots Five, Kills Ranger, on the Lam in Nat'l Park
An Iraq War veteran with PTSD is suspected of shooting four people in the city of Skyway, as well as a female Park Ranger in Mt. Rainier National Park. There is a huge manhunt underway for Benjamin Colton Barnes in the park.
The entire park was shutdown and 125 visitors and 17 staff members were held in lockdown at the park's Jackson Visitor Center. The visitors were eventually evacuated in the early morning. Here's a pic of Mr. Barnes who allegedly shot four people at a gun "show and tell" party which turned into a shootout.

I doubt he'd be on the lam in the park if he hadn't already done something very, very bad...
If you ask me, this guy only has hours left to live... I doubt very much they'll get him alive. He wants to die. |

so sad... my thoughts are with ALL the families affected... so much of the time, the military just use up these young people and then forget about them...  |

Yes, Aerianne, you are correct. I miss read that. I've corrected the title now.
But actually way more than five people were shot at.
Rangers at the park and the SWAT team were kept at bay for 90 minutes by this guy, who then escaped into the woods.
He has some kind of arsenal with him, apparently.

Did the 4 people shot at the party die? The reports I find say that 4 were shot there and of those 4, two were critically injured.
Okay, Skip. I thought my question had gone un-noticed so I moved it down here. Thanks for the correction.

War is hell. Yet our politicians seem to think nothing of it or the consequences to our young people and society when they return.

I predicted this would happen on xmas day.. I know what its like being a veteran on the holidays. It takes more than a little ptsd to set someone off though.
