UK to Start Banning People from the Internet!
It was only a matter of time. Now the UK government has decided to impose severe restrictions on people accused of bullying or criminal activity on the Internet.
Quote:
It calls for police and courts to make more use of existing “cyber sanctions” to restrict access to the social networks and instant messaging services in cases of hacking, fraud and online bullying. Sex offenders and those convicted of harrassment or anti-social behaviour also face more internet restrictions under the new strategy.
Similar orders have been imposed on those charged with involvement in a series of cyber attacks by the Anonymous and LulzSec groups earlier this year, while they await trial.

Cyber-bullying...Pfft!
Come on people, didn't your mama ever teach you the saying;
"Sticks and stones
may break my bones
but names can never hurt me"....?
As far as I know a judge can already prohibit someone from being online as a part of a sentence or a condition of probation.
We don't need any more laws, period.

MJ didn't need the Internet to find kids. He had children's charities as well as his own amusement park to find them. Charities like Sandusky's that were all about kids.
MJ's obsession with children cannot be explained away by his "lost childhood" which is the same excuse used by all pedos for acting so "childlike" that they want to sleep with children...
Also it seems once MJ's own kids reached a certain age, he no longer need to find "strange" to satisfy his sexual urges...
Think about that if you dare!
Most molestations are done by family members. Michael carefully chose what his kids would look like. He didn't love the childrens mothers, he just wanted kids of his own. Much cheaper and safer than fondling strange kids...

Governments not knowing how to fix a problem, they always create another law which is shoved down the peoples throat. I believe this will only grow into a bigger problem giving the people another reason to be pissed off and retaliate until they feel justice is restored.

wow idk about that one. i'm a big believer in the mj is a kid findler conspiracy but i don't think he would selectively breed for ideal kids to fuck. and you try being a rich celebrity and then start a real relationship where the other person cares about you not just for the cash

Cyber bullying is a problem and does need to be looked into. No different than in real time. The same holds true for hate crimes and discrimination or other laws that are broken in cyber space.
I am not sure if the laws will actually be able to correct all of the problems though as unfortunately you can legislate common sense and decency. Instead the laws simply make it punishable but do not stop it. Rather like in real time as well.

I'm sorry, but no....
"cyber bullying" is a term for anything they don't like on the internet. If no real or digital property is damaged, no crime should exist, and further, if one commits a real crime, they may be given a real punishment, but restricting what they can do once they're free of that punishment is not acceptable.

I didn't do it... but seriously, think about it.
It's very slippery to consider all criminals the same. Pot smokers are not the same as "cyber bullies" are not the same as murderers. I don't think that typing words should ever constitute a crime, the internet is an enter at your own risk area, even if corporations would like to sanitize it for money making reasons. Unless you (personally, not by telling little jimmy to hang himself) break something with your computer, I don't think you're guilty of anything.

Maybe we should bear in mind the fact that just about every computer project the UK government has instigated has come in extremely late, massively over-budget, and never works properly anyway.
