One day... I was still in elementary school, trudging to the back of the school to meet my father who would drive me home. The song on the radio was a song that would later mean so much to me... and downright haunting in recent days.

It was maybe 1969, or maybe 1970, by my best figuring. It was either the year my older brother left, or the year he came back (from Vietnam). I climbed into my father's car, a 1967 Dodge that about seven years later would become the first car I would have...

Hair was awesome, so well performed that we were all just stunned. My favorite part was the singing of "Easy To Be Hard" ... the singer just really conveyed the power of the song. But the whole thing was a real trip to see, so much going on onstage at the same time.

My son and his gf liked it a lot; my daughter could hardly contain her enthusiasm for it afterwards, she hugged and thanked me I don't know how many times. It was really a perfect family outing for us, and we...

After work today I had to stay late for a meeting, and ran into a few coworkers that I'd not spoken with in a year or two. Nice people... both knew of my wife's long illness, but neither had gotten word that she passed away in June. It's weird when I'm there during the day. After years of overnight shift I only feel normal when the lights are out, the office is quiet, and no one is there. The longer I work graveyard shift, the more detached I feel. Yet I like that, at least most of the...

I've been lazy in recent weeks. Well, actually most days I work very hard at work, and once home, have felt like doing very little. I'm slowlycoming back around, though.

Lately I've been trying to listen to one album per day of music that I'm not familiar with but perhaps should be. Yesterday it was Ready To Die by Notorious B.I.G., today the album Here's Little Richard. The day before that it was The Big Blues by Albert King. All of it was entertaining, but I think...

Woke at 8pm and was out the door in no time. Worked till a quarter till ten in the morning. Home to listen to Dead Kennedys and Johnny Cash and English Beat and the Everly Brothers and Get Smart and Gang fuckin' GREEN (the song "Flight 911" plays as I type). But I gotta sleep and then hit replay. That first few minutes after waking up is always the worst part of the day. I give myself exactly fifteen minutes to set the alarm and get out, and I'm always fine for the drive, but not really...

We don't yet have flying cars but we do have "balloon boy." We still live in a schizo-puritanical culture in the US , but the quality of lesbian porn has improved by orders of magnitude since a few years ago.

I turn to an old quotation, let us turn in our hymnals to bash.org where is is written

"Lesbian porn is God's way of saying 'you're really FUCKED UP, but... I still love you.'"

Yeah. I'm now an atheist of the Richard Dawkins fan variety, but I can grok a "really hot shapely...
