So Thursday May 3rd started off this years beach cleaning efforts on the shores of Lake Erie. This will be my second year cleaning the plastic garbage from the beach at the end of my street. Its about a mile long stretch of beach, but the way the current goes most of the plastic in the lake gets washed up on this section of beach. Last year it was so bad I picked up over 60 bags of garbage, 15 tires or so , both dock and boat and car parts, and some industrial plastic pipes and stuff. This year on my first day I picked up 2 garbage bags full of plastic bits, 2 inner tubes, 2 tires, and what I think was the bed liner to a pickup truck, a 7 foot hunk of snow fence, and some PVC and sewer pipes. Will go back out maybe today or later in the week as my legs are still sore, very good work out picking up stuff for 3 or 4 hours. Anyway just wanted to have a record of the things I find, quantities and whatnot so this will be continuing through out the summer.

Phenomenal thing you do!!!
I'd love to see some pics of your beach glass. I used to collect it on a river's banks but haven't been there in several years.
Keep up the good job!
Peace.
